We’ve got some exciting news to share: Newfermenters is having a homebrew competition!
In the spirit of the Fall season, we’ll be judging BJCP Category 19: Amber and Brown American Beer. You can submit up to one entry per style in each of the three sub-categories:
- American Amber Ale
- California Common
- American Brown Ale

Entries will be judged against the style guidelines for the specific sub-category they’re entered in, but all entries from all 3 styles will compete with one another for the highest overall score to take home 1st place.
And, as a bonus, we’re going to run this competition in person! Come on out to Ninepenny Brewing on October 24 from 2:00-4:00PM and join us for a pint and a chat. Once the judging wraps up we’ll announce the winners! Judging event details can be found on our Facebook page.
